A good George III stool of good colour with unusual shaped seat
A good George III shaped oak slab top stool of very good colour. The front profile of the stool is shaped which is an unusual feature and the stool stands over splayed octagonal legs. The legs are original and on finding a problem with the bottom of one, a very considerable time ago, someone has removed the wedges holding the tenon of the leg in place and has simply reshaped on leg at what would have been the bottom and turned the leg upside down so it sits on one tenon. A lovely feature. Original throughout.
Measuring: 40 cm tall and 29 cm at widest point
