An intriguing mirror with an original 18th century plate in a moulded giltwood and gesso frame with shell and foliate crest, scroll side clasps and apron.
The frame dates to the early 19th century and appears historically associated with the original 18th century plate.
The plate has oxidised giving that wonderful time worn appearance. One can only wonder about the Georgian faces that gazed into this plate.
