This is a proof for a later published edition - on wove paper by Percy Roberts, after the portrait of Nelson by Lemuel Francis Abbott and the sea battle by Francis Chesham, marked Proof to lower left, 46cm x 29cm.
The portrait of Nelson was amended in the later edition with Nelson’s portrait slightly different and wearing a sash.
Housed under glass in a 19th century frame.
