English naive school study of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Portraits from the naive school often have an additonal charm. This oil on canvas study of a seated, rather plump, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, would indeed fit into that category. Dating to c 1900 the Spaniel was obvioulsy favourite pet, his or her name, lost and forgotten. In a period faux rosewood frame with some losses.
