A pair of pastel portraits of a husband and wife, signed T or J W Harland 1848. By repute the artist was the governess and the couple lived in the village of North Hyekham, Lincolnshire. The glass is missing from the female sitter but, as the back hasn't been disturbed for some time, we have left this untouched for originality.
