1920s scratch built model LMS train carriages
A set of five scratch built wooden carriages probably by a father for his son in the late 1920s. The detail is delightful with each door and window pained along with destinations. This is modelled on a London Midland and Scottish Railways train. Destinations include Bradford, Northampton and the Bradford exchnage, whilst one shows the carriage is the Thames Clyde express which first ran in 1927. One carriage is dated 1928.
Only two now retain their wheels but this is a rather fun piece of original folk art.
