A collection of five English Victorian police documents relating to the conveyance of bodies
A set of five 19th police documents from 1879 and 1880 for payment for individuals from removing bodies from the River Thames, a canal and the conveyance to the mortuary. Payments are also made for those attending the inquest as witnesses. Each man had to sign for his payment - some signing, some, unable to read and write, just making his mark. An unusual set fo surviving historical documents.
