Early 19th century large West Country Windsor child's chair
A characterful large child's Windsor chair dating to the early 19th century. The chair has a lovely shape with good colour and time worn paint. Some of the orginal green paint can be seen below another very old layer of time-worn textured paint. The legs are all original but the front turned legs have been moved around and one now sits at the back. This was carried out a long time ago, perhaps not long after construction, for the purposes of balance.
English, probably West country, early 19th century
