A substantial hand-forged wrought lock key with a large oval bow, solid shank incorporating a decorative collar, and a heavy forged bit. The key retains an untouched surface with wear and patination consistent with age, displaying the character of early hand-forged ironwork.
An attractive decorative object and a good example of an early key.
