A hand painted shop sign for an antiques shop, probably a provincial shop in the English counties.   The wooden sign in metal frame would have hung outside an antiques shop and probably dates to c.1930.    The sign has been in the same family in a private collection since the 1950s when it was purchased from an antiques dealer in Radlett, Hertfordshire.   An antiques shop delivery cart is shown on the sign with the name "Anne Barlow" and "Tardy Antiques" as well as the word "Brocante' and the word "France".

The word "HOVIS" advertising the well known bread is painted to the front.

The sign is doubled sided.

Measuring : 78 cm x 63 cm
