A rare wooden English tavern sign from the skittle Alley of the Plume of Feather public house, 64 Queen St, Horsham, Sussex.
Advising the revelers that no betting games for money were allowed in the alley, perhaps the Plume was a boisterous old place. Pieces like this are so evocative of a time and a place long gone. Beautiful patination to the original paint finish.
